Who we are
Our History
Gray & Company was founded in 1973 when brothers Paul and Phil Gray began channeling their artistic backgrounds into residential painting. Originally known as Gray Skies Painting, the brothers focused in on commercial and industrial painting as the business grew through the 80s.
Their first big industrial project included a five million gallon ground storage tank in Topeka, Kan. Other early large projects included the renovation of the Kansas House of Representatives chamber and the expansion of the Lansing Correctional Facility. They even helped remodel several luxury coaches for the Santa Fe Railway.
The business changed its name to Gray & Company in 1995 as the team increased sales and expanded work to broader geographical areas. The business now completes industrial and commercial work exclusively. Because of their attention to quality, much of the work is derived from contacts who don’t hesitate to repeat business or recommend referrals.
Now in its second generation of leadership, Gray & Company continues completing hundreds of projects of all types and sizes every year. The company remains committed to providing quality service and keeping up with the latest advancements in painting, covering, and coating.
Gray & Company is proud to be the first call and the final touch for projects all across Kansas and beyond.
